Conclusion

After all the media, stories, and examples I have shown, I think it is fair to say that we are living in our own version of a dystopia. Sure, we do not have zombies or people with superpowers (yet?), but a lot of elements that are standard to a dystopia can already be found in our every day life. There are dozens of other real-life examples I could give, but hopefully these gave you an idea of where we currently stand on the topic.

So in conclusion, exploring dystopian themes through this virtual exhibition provides a reflection on societal issues and hopefully get us thinking about the choices we are making, and how they influence our future. The works and media I chose to display here help us to confront uncomfortable realities and see potential futures shaped by current trajectories. This exhibition is also meant to serve as a reminder of the fragility of our society and the importance of staying aware, kind, and empathetic.
